Green Upskilling for international academics

Are you interested in sustainability and the green transition? And would you like to gain knowledge and experience with the tools that Danish companies use to document and strengthen their green initiatives?

Join the meeting about Green Upskilling on April 16 2026 and learn more about how you can apply for this program.

No prior expertise in sustainability or the green transition is required. What matters most is your drive to learn and grow, your willingness to apply your new skills in a real company setting and including them in your active job search. Green Upskilling is carried out by Pluss Leadership A/S.

The program is available for international academics, who are registered in Job Centre Copenhagen - Department of Academics, and who have been unemployed for at least 14 weeks, when the program begins. The program is aimed at participants with minimal Danish skills, which is why Green Upskilling is performed in English.

By participating in this program, you will:

  • Gain green skills relevant to today’s job market: CO₂ calculations, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), green documentation, green claims and communication
  • Deeper insights into Danish workplace culture
  • Join a DISC personality profile workshop to reflect on your collaboration and communication style
  • Strengthen your professional identity through portfolio work
  • Build your network in Denmark
  • Improve your job readiness and visibility to employers.

Details about the six weeks program:

  • Full time from May 11 - June 19 2026
  • Two weeks teaching, practical exercises and group work
  • Four weeks of company-based case work giving you the chance to put your knowledge into practice. The case work is carried out together with 2-3 fellow participants.
  • One weekly group-based supervision on solving the case.
  • Graduation on June 18 2026

How to register for the meeting on April 16 2026 

If you are interested in hearing more about ‘Green Upskilling’, you need to attend a meeting in Valby on  April 16 2026 at 2.30 PM. At this meeting, you can apply for the program Green Upskilling.

Register for the meeting as soon as possible before April 9 2026 by sending a message with the following: “I would like to participate in the meeting about Green Upskilling.” Please be aware that there are a limited number of seats available in the program.
